For the Mig process, packaging and spools are important contributing factors to both productivity and weld quality. We offer several spool sizes and formats ranging from the industry standard 7.26 kgs/16 lbs spool, to a higher productivity 9 kgs/20 lbs spool and also an environmentally-friendly, recyclable painted steel "basket style" spool. Indalco has also developed a 136 kgs/300 lbs bulk aluminum wire package called Accu-Pak. Accu-Pak is a torsionless, reverse-wound MIG wire designed specifically for robotic and high productivity semi-automatic stations. This package reduces the required number of changeovers when a package is finished by a factor of 15 when compared to a 9 kgs/20 lbs spool. This is serious productivity.
